Dell Technologies has announced a collaboration with Worley to drive artificial intelligence (AI) innovation using the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA.
The initiative, deployed in partnership with World Wide Technology (WWT), aims to develop secure AI solutions that enhance efficiency, unlock global talent, and apply practical AI applications for business and customer value.
Worley, a global professional services company with approximately 50,000 employees across 45 countries, works with customers to manage projects and optimise asset value while transitioning to sustainable energy sources.
Expanding its use of AI and automation, Worley is leveraging Dell’s AI Factory with NVIDIA to create an on-premises environment for AI and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, aligning with security principles focused on data privacy, intellectual property protection, and segregation between IT and operational technology environments.
Among its first AI initiatives, Worley is developing a GenAI application to assist procurement teams in evaluating vendor bid documents, significantly reducing data extraction and analysis time from weeks to hours.
Additionally, another initiative aims to support engineers by utilising GenAI to extract insights from past projects, accelerating design processes and improving project delivery efficiency.
These projects are expected to streamline operations and enhance productivity, laying the groundwork for further AI-driven design, automation, estimation, and supplier collaboration.
Anup Sharma, Group President of Worley Digital, emphasised the potential of AI in transforming the industry.
“Our industry has decades of experience in solving large complex problems, including with AI and machine learning. Gen-AI, powered by Dell and NVIDIA, acts as a force multiplier, enabling Worley’s experts to work at unprecedented scale and pace. We finally have the capability and talent to ‘bend’ first principles. This super-charges our response to the significant upswing in trillions of dollars of capital investment,” Sharma said.
Arun Narayanan, senior vice president of Compute and Networking at Dell Technologies, highlighted Worley’s role in advancing AI-driven solutions.
“Leveraging the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, Worley is forming a foundation for creating AI tools that accelerate its ability to help companies across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors transition toward a more sustainable future,” Narayanan stated.
Worley’s AI infrastructure will be supported by Dell’s high-performance solutions, including PowerEdge XE9680 servers with NVIDIA H100 GPUs for AI, machine learning, and deep learning applications.
Additionally, Dell PowerScale F710 storage will support scalable data management, while Dell AI Optimised Networking will ensure high-speed data transfers.
The deployment will also incorporate NVIDIA AI Enterprise software for streamlined AI pipeline development and Dell Rack Integration Services, complemented by NVIDIA Enterprise Support Services for continuous operational support.
