The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called on business leaders who are yet to enlist in its Low Carbon Manufacturing Grant Program.
The application period for one of the program’s streams is set to close on 16 November.
The Low Carbon Manufacturing Grant Program is designed to help manufacturers undertake large-scale, productivity-enhancing investments, enabling them to enter global supply chains for renewable energy and low-carbon components.
It also aligns with Victoria’s efforts towards a net zero transition.
Businesses that qualify for the grant program would be able to tap into competitive grants delivered through two streams, namely the Business Growth and Business Readiness Streams.
The Business Growth Stream, which is slated to close in mid-November, is intended to allow Victorian manufacturers to capitalise on opportunities to produce products or components that support the transition to decarbonisation and net zero emission.
Eligible applicants may apply for competitive grants ranging from $50,000 and $250,000.
Meanwhile, the Business Readiness Stream would assist small to medium-sized Victorian manufacturers to access business services, advice, or expertise in order to participate in low-carbon renewable energy supply chains.
Business owners may apply for competitive grants of up to $50,000.
The Business Readiness Stream will close on 20 January 2023.
