The Victorian government has rolled out its Digital Jobs for Manufacturing Program to help businesses adapt to a digital operating environment
The grant program will offer up to $5,000 in funding to businesses with a manufacturing presence in Victoria and are seeking to upskill their existing workforce to implement digital technology with their operations.
The Digital Jobs for Manufacturing Program will provide companies with the opportunity to enrol a designated employee in one of the 12-week online, part-time industry-endorsed digital skills courses.
Eligible businesses can receive funding for up to five employees to undertake training throughout the life of the program.
The programs include artificial intelligence, cloud computing, customer relationship management, cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing, enterprise resource planning, information technology operations and support, and user experience/user interface design.
The program will run in January, May, and September 2023, and January and April 2024.
Additive manufacturing, computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing, and robotic process automation will be available for the May 2023 training rounds.
Applications will be open on 14 October and will close on 31 March 2024, unless funds are allocated earlier.
