Business Victoria has launched its Business Growth Stream initiative to help local manufacturers tap into decarbonisation opportunities in production.
Victorian businesses eligible for the grant must support the manufacturing of components or products for local and global supply chains that respond to market demand for transition to net zero emission, the Victorian government said.
The projects must also involve the development or purchase of new equipment, processes, skills, or technology that directly supports the making of products or components that will help the Victorian and global transition to net zero emissions.
Businesses may receive funding for the purchase of capital equipment, as well as technology adoption and associated project expenditure for the production of components and products that support decarbonisation efforts.
Projects supported under the stream could include solar panel recycling initiatives, efficient heat pump production, and electric vehicle charging stations.
The stream is open for applications until 16 November at 5 pm (AEDT). Successful applicants may receive grants ranging between $50,000 and $250,000.
Interested business owners and leaders may submit their applications at Business Victoria’s program overview page.
