Titomic has announced the acquisition of a new property in Huntsville, Alabama, which the company stated will serve as its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Huntsville, often referred to as Rocket City, has a long-standing reputation for aerospace and defence innovation in the United States, the company said in a LinkedIn post.

According to Titomic, this development marks the first time cold spray technology is being scaled for full commercial production of high-performance metal parts.

The company asserts that the technology offers the speed and flexibility of additive manufacturing at an industrial scale, aiming to revolutionise production processes in the aerospace and defence sectors.

Titomic stated that the new facility is expected to enable faster, more sustainable, and cost-effective manufacturing, reinforcing its position as a key player in advanced industrial production.

The company emphasised that this strategic move positions it to support large-scale manufacturing within one of the most technologically advanced industrial hubs in the world.

Huntsville is home to major aerospace and defence contractors, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.

The city has been instrumental in some of the most significant aerospace advancements, including the development of the Saturn V rocket and ongoing defence innovations at Redstone Arsenal.

With this expansion, Titomic claims it aims to introduce the next evolution in manufacturing to Rocket City, advancing high-performance metal production and contributing to the region’s continued leadership in aerospace and defence technology.
