Three Western Australian premium food and beverage manufacturers have secured a total of $120.000 in business grants to expand their operations and grow employment opportunities in agrifood industries
The successful grant recipients include Premium Wagyu beef producer Irongate, pome fruit export packing facility Newton Orchards and premium juice company Pressed Earth.
The grants were awarded as part of the Premium Food and Beverage Investor Ready Incentive Scheme which requires recepients to match the grant on a dollar-for-dollar co-contribution basis.
Agriculture and Food Minister Alannah MacTiernan said each business offers a unique business development and growth opportunity, with potential to create jobs and grow the production of agriculture and food in WA.
“The incentive scheme provides support to Western Australian businesses to attract investment, allowing them to expand their operations, develop their product and service offerings, and advance their export capabilities,” the Minister said.
“The successful businesses have shown that with some financial support, they can attract the right investor to supercharge their growth.”
“These grants will generate long-term benefits for the regions and the State, creating job opportunities and flow-on benefits to local communities and businesses.”
