BAE Systems has delivered another strong year of performance in 2022, both financially and operationally, with a record order intake of £37.1 billion (AUD 65.4 billion), driving the company’s defence order backlog up to £59 billion (AUD 104 billion).

Global shipbuilder Austal has recorded FY2022 H1 revenue of $775.0 million supported by strong growth in the sustainment business, with revenue from the segment rising 67 per cent to $194.6 million.

Bega Cheese Limited generated a revenue of more than $1.6 billion in the first half of fiscal year 2023, which ended on 25 December 2022. The figure marks an 11 per cent increase compared to the prior year’s results. 

ARB Corporation Limited is in the red on the release of the company’s first-half earnings, posting a 5.1 per cent sales revenue decline to $340.9 million compared with the prior period as vehicle availability continues to constrain sales in Australia and the United Kingdom.  

Australia-based global packaging manufacturer Orora has announced its financial results for the half year with earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of $165.8 million, up 7.3 per cent driven by strong earnings growth in North America and robust earnings performance in Australasia.

Medical device company Cochlear Limited has shared its revenue for the six months through December of $885.2 million, a nine per cent increase driven by strong growth in cochlear and acoustic implant sales.

Counterdrone system manufacturer DroneShield said it is on its way to posting a new all-time high record revenue for 2022, with the industry’s continuous rapid global growth.
