The Australian Government announced that submissions for the 2024 edition of the Australian Defence Export Catalogue are officially open to the country’s defence industry businesses.
The Australian Defence Sales Catalogue, which highlighted more than 250 export-ready products and services in its 2023 edition, will now be known as the Australian Defence Export Catalogue beginning in 2024.
The government said the catalogue reflects its commitment not only to sell Australian defence products internationally but also to enhance the presence of Australian innovation in global supply chains.
Australian defence industry businesses are invited to submit their entries for the 2024 edition of the catalogue, which serves as a crucial link between Australian businesses and foreign governments.
Minister for Defence Industry Pat Conroy emphasised the significance of exporting Australia’s defence technology and capability to the global market, underscoring its role in strengthening the nation’s sovereign defence industry.
“Exporting Australia’s defence technology and capability to an international market strengthens our sovereign defence industry,” the minister said.
He highlighted the Australian Defence Export Catalogue as a substantial opportunity for businesses.
“Australian businesses have a key role to play in building our defence capability – the Australian Defence Export Catalogue presents a significant opportunity for businesses to expand and reach new markets.
Minister Conroy concluded, “The Albanese Government is committed to strengthening defence capability to meet the strategic challenges our nation faces now and in the future.”
Submissions can be made online through the Australian Defence Export Office (ADEO) Portal, accessible at this website.
