Stratasys has announced a partnership with German-based software company trinckle 3D GmbH, signing a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate trinckle’s fixturemate software into Stratasys’ GrabCAD Print Pro software package.
This collaboration is designed to streamline the fixture design process and broaden the accessibility of Stratasys’ GrabCAD software.
The move aims to simplify the workflow from design to production while enabling innovation in tooling applications across various industries, Stratasys said in a media release.
With this integration, Stratasys expands its offering to manufacturers who may lack CAD expertise but still need to design and configure custom 3D-printed fixtures.
This partnership aligns with Stratasys’ goal to meet the growing demand for fixture and tooling solutions, benefiting sectors such as industrial, transportation, contract manufacturing, and service bureaus.
Victor Gerdes, Vice President of Software at Stratasys, highlighted the significance of this new integration: “Eliminating the need for specialized CAD skills gives customers flexibility with their manufacturing workforce when it comes to the development of complex fixtures and tooling.”
“This new offering is targeted at delivering significant savings in time and workforce development, while allowing customers to use our solutions for both print preparation as well as critical design tasks for manufacturing.”
Florian Reichle, CEO and Co-Founder of trinckle 3D, emphasised the value of this partnership, saying, “We’re removing one of the biggest barriers in additive manufacturing, the need for specialized CAD skills and the costs associated with the manual design process.”
“By integrating fixturemate with Stratasys’ GrabCAD Print Pro, we’re making it easier than ever for manufacturers to create custom, production-ready fixtures in minutes. This software will eliminate bottlenecks, accelerate workflows and maximize the value of additive manufacturing.”
Stratasys plans to showcase the new fixturemate and GrabCAD Print Pro integration at the RAPID + TCT event in Detroit, taking place from 8 to 10 April.
The software integration is expected to be available later this year, across Stratasys’ entire technology portfolio.
