Sphere has transitioned to in-house manufacturing through a partnership with Carasel, a move aimed at strengthening its capabilities to support the development and delivery of HubX

According to a news release from Sphere, integrating design, engineering, and manufacturing within a single facility is expected to improve efficiency and streamline operations.

Sphere has relocated its production facilities to Seven Hills to better align with delivery schedules.

The company states that Carasel’s infrastructure, which includes precision sheet metal fabrication, robotic machining, powder coating, and custom assembly, plays a key role in maintaining production quality and efficiency.

Sphere has also tested DJI’s newly launched Dock 3 at Carasel’s facilities. The company claims that this early access positions it at the forefront of drone technology advancements and enhances the capabilities of its HubX solutions.

Paris Cockinos, CEO of Sphere, stated: “Taking manufacturing operations in-house marks an important step for Sphere. Our early testing of DJI Dock 3 at Carasel also means we’re positioned to integrate the latest technologies into our offerings.”

“This shift strengthens our ability to scale the development and delivery of HubX, allowing us to speed up innovation cycles and ensure consistent, high-quality solutions. It’s also a commitment to being Australian made; keeping production local allows us to better meet the needs of our customers and support the broader Australian tech industry.”

Sphere announced that HubX has been included in the DJI Enterprise Ecosystem, making it the first Drone-in-a-Box solution featured on this global platform.

The company states that this milestone, along with early DJI Dock 3 testing, highlights its focus on innovation and market leadership in advanced drone solutions.

Katie Selby, managing director of Carasel, commented: “Partnering with Sphere has been a rewarding experience. We’re proud to be Australian made and appreciate Sphere’s emphasis on local manufacturing.”

“Their early DJI Dock 3 testing is an exciting step, and we are confident that their move to in-house manufacturing will support their goals for HubX.”

Sphere states that its shift to in-house production aligns with its commitment to local manufacturing, job creation, and supporting Australian industries.

The company asserts that its enhanced capabilities and investment in drone technology position it to meet market demand and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
