Energy management and automation Schneider Electric has appointed Tina Hu as the new vice president for global supply chain and customer experience for Pacific Zone.

Hu joins the company from global manufacturing company Kimberly Clark, where she served as director of supply chain and manufacturing for Australia/New Zealand, leading teams at some of the world’s largest companies, including Gartner, Unilever, and Goodyear.

In her new role as a key member of the executive team, Hu will be responsible for leading the global supply chain and customer experience division in the Pacific, including logistics and manufacturing plants.

Hu will also help the team execute an array of strategic objectives.

“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Schneider Electric and building on the strategies already in place to continue growing the function. The sector has been demanding over the past few years and we are seeing many within the industry suffer from burnout,” Hu said in a statement

The new Schneider Electric exec said she will prioritise streamlining processes and ensure teams are working “smarter not harder.”

“We’re delighted to welcome Tina to our Schneider executive team. Her wealth of experience and depth of knowledge made her the ideal candidate. I also look forward to seeing her drive our new team towards success in a new era, as we navigate and surmount the recent added complexities within the supply chain sector,” Gareth O’Reilly, president of the company’s Pacific Zone unit.
