Schneider Electric has announced the Pacific winners of its 2025 Sustainability Impact Awards, recognising businesses driving decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and sustainable transformation.

The awards were presented during the company’s Innovation Summit in Sydney, the company said in a news release.

SA Power Networks and WaterNSW were named joint winners in the Pacific Customer category for their efforts in environmental stewardship and innovation.

SA Power Networks, which operates with nearly 80 per cent renewable energy, was recognised for its work with Schneider Electric in implementing SF6-free switchgear and Dynamic Operating Envelopes to enhance grid stability and sustainability.

WaterNSW was awarded for advancing sustainable water management through telemetry and AI-driven compliance tools, including drones, remote sensing, and climate data modelling.

The organisation was also acknowledged for its inclusive policies supporting First Nations’ water rights and ownership.

In the Sustainability Impact ‘Partner Awards’ category, Datacom and UPS Power Solutions were recognised for their leadership in sustainable business practices.

Datacom, which received both the Australian and International Operations Partner Awards, has committed to net-zero emissions by 2030, transitioned its New Zealand data centres to 100 per cent renewable energy, and reduced work-related air travel by 40 per cent.

UPS Power Solutions was named the New Zealand Partner Award winner for providing energy-efficient and reliable backup power solutions to major organisations across the Pacific, contributing to cleaner and more resilient energy systems.

Schneider Electric’s Pacific Zone President, Colette Munro, said the winners demonstrated how innovation and collaboration could accelerate the energy transition.

“We’re proud to recognise and support organisations making progress on their sustainability journeys, demonstrating how the right technology and commitment can make such great positive impact,” stated Munro.
