Rockwell Automation and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a collaboration aimed at accelerating digital transformation in the manufacturing sector.
The initiative, unveiled ahead of Hannover Messe 2025, integrates Rockwell’s industrial automation solutions with AWS’s cloud computing infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
By leveraging Rockwell’s expertise in operational technology and AWS’s advanced cloud capabilities, manufacturers are set to gain access to scalable and secure cloud solutions designed to optimise asset performance and improve operational visibility.
The partnership enables the connection of factory-floor data to cloud-based analytics and artificial intelligence applications, facilitating enhanced industrial software solutions, Rockwell said in a news release.
Nicole Denil, vice president of global market access at Rockwell Automation, emphasised the importance of adaptable and secure solutions for modern manufacturers.
“By collaborating with AWS, we are unlocking new opportunities for AI-driven insights, edge-to-cloud connectivity, and industrial automation advancements. This allows us to meet customers where they are and enable them to run on their cloud platform of choice,” Denil stated.
As part of the agreement, Rockwell is extending its software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings within FactoryTalk Hub to AWS.
This expansion includes the availability of its DataMosaix industrial DataOps solution and Fiix computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) in AWS Marketplace.
Additional FactoryTalk Hub solutions are set to be introduced later this year, broadening Rockwell’s cloud-based portfolio.
Ozgur Tohumcu, general manager of automotive and manufacturing at AWS, highlighted the significance of the partnership in advancing industrial automation.
“Together, we’re empowering manufacturers to make faster decisions and optimise operations by transforming operational data into actionable insights with AWS cloud intelligence. We’re not just deploying technology — we’re creating a pathway for industrial enterprises to become more agile, efficient, and competitive in today’s rapidly evolving industry,” Tohumcu said.
AWS has also joined the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork as a Technology Partner. This collaboration will be featured at Hannover Messe from 31 March 31 to 4 April, where Rockwell’s latest cloud-enabled industrial solutions will be showcased at the AWS booth.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of key Rockwell solutions now available on AWS, including:
- FactoryTalk DataMosaix – A cloud-based data management platform that enhances industrial data accessibility and insights through Rockwell’s collaboration with Cognite.
- Fiix CMMS – A computerised maintenance management system designed to optimise asset performance using AWS’s robust cloud infrastructure.
Production Logistics – A solution for managing autonomous mobile robot (AMR) fleets, featuring real-time production scheduling powered by AI and AWS.
