Richmond Rolling Solutions has signed an exclusive distribution deal with ForwardX, a global provider of person-to-goods Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) solutions, to distribute next-generation products in the ANZ market.

Under the partnership, businesses in Australia and New Zealand will be provided with access to FowardX AMR solutions and global leadership products, which will be backed by local support, knowledge and engineering from Richmond Rolling Solutions.

An Australian-first fully functioning demonstration centre will also be established in Melbourne to ensure key decision-makers understand AMR capabilities, according to Richmond Rolling Solutions CEO Breon Winslow-Moore.

ForwardX’s solutions are designed to reduce operational costs while improving the overall efficiency in warehouses, retail facilities, distribution centres and manufacturing plants.

“Customers will be able to trial and test the full suite of products, giving them a risk-free experience, they won’t be able to find anywhere else.”

ForwardX’s Pick2Go robots are already being used in warehouse fulfilment centres across Asia, Europe and North America

The company leverages its flexible automation platform comprised of smart mobile robots and AI-enabled software and has served over 100 of the world’s most successful companies, such as DHL, IKEA, TCL, and Uniqlo.

Early adopters of ForwardX’s technology can tap into faster unit-per-hour picking rates by more than 300 per cent and look forward to a return on investment within six to 12 months.

“Our partnership with ForwardX gives businesses the opportunity to invest in the latest equipment to improve processes, profitability and long-term stability for all clients in this space,” Winslow-Moore said. “It’s an exciting time for our team and we can’t wait to deliver these AMR products to companies throughout Australia and New Zealand.”
