ResMed, a global health technology leader, has announced the launch of its latest innovation in CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) therapy with the introduction of the AirTouch N30i nasal mask.

Manufactured in ResMed’s Bella Vista facility in New South Wales, this marks the company’s first fully fabric CPAP mask, designed to improve comfort and encourage long-term therapy compliance among users.

The new AirTouch N30i features a fabric-wrapped frame, integrating a soft, moisture-wicking design for optimal breathability and comfort.

This tube-up nasal mask aims to provide a more natural sleep experience for individuals with sleep apnea, a condition impacting nearly one billion people worldwide, including approximately 20 per cent of Australians.

The AirTouch N30i is expected to enhance the adoption of CPAP therapy among new and experienced users alike, addressing both comfort and usability issues that are often barriers to consistent therapy.

“Millions of people trust ResMed’s devices to help them sleep better and live healthier lives,” said Justin Leong, ResMed’s chief product officer.

“We are excited to introduce the AirTouch N30i, a mask that redefines comfort with its soft, natural feel and sleek, modern design. It sets a new standard in CPAP masks, helping more people stay committed to their therapy and achieve better sleep while offering a refined aesthetic that is as pleasing to look at as it is to wear,” Leong noted.

Revolutionary design for optimal Comfort

The AirTouch N30i incorporates ResMed’s innovative ComfiSoft cushion, combining fabric coating over silicone to create a gentle, secure seal.

According to the company, this new design represents an advancement in textile and manufacturing technology, enhancing durability and comfort without compromising on performance.

The mask is available in three cushion sizes and two frame sizes, ensuring a tailored fit for users.

A multi-center study among experienced CPAP users found that 92.6 per cent favored the AirTouch N30i for long-term use, and 96.7 per cent rated its appearance and feel as appealing, emphasising its potential to improve adherence to CPAP therapy.
