PARKD Ltd, an Australian modular relocatable carpark manufacturer, has officially sealed a significant deal with Fielders Steel Roofing, a division of BlueScope Steel Limited.
Under the terms of the agreement, Fielders will gain access to PARKD’s Metal Deck Support System (MDSS) and associated intellectual property (IP), paving the way for enhanced collaboration and innovation in the construction sector.
The agreement offers Fielders discounted supply costs and royalties, positioning PARKD’s MDSS for immediate and future commercialisation efforts.
To demonstrate the system’s efficacy, PARKD will embark on a Proof-of-Concept phase lasting 12 months, commencing from 2 February 2024.
This period will see the implementation of MDSS across two projects, notably the Audi Centre in Myaree, Western Australia, alongside the formalisation of the Licensing Agreement.
The collaboration between PARKD and Fielders is geared towards providing developers and contractors with a comprehensive structural solution, streamlining construction processes, reducing costs, mitigating risks, and minimising the need for specialised labour and materials.
Peter McUtchen, managing director of PARKD, expressed his enthusiasm, emphasising the significance of the partnership in driving innovation and safety within the construction industry.
McUtchen stated, “Our Metal Deck Support System addresses these needs and more, through our modular car park solutions that have been designed specifically to reduce cost and the need for high-risk activities on-site, as well as advance the industry into a new era of construction through modular designs.”
He further elaborated on the upcoming deployment of MDSS at the Audi Centre in Myaree, underscoring PARKD’s commitment to optimising product performance and exploring potential benefits across commercial, industrial, and retail construction sectors.
