Pacific Energy has completed the acquisition of ENGV, a turnkey provider of green hydrogen production and refuelling facilities.
The acquisition positions Pacific Energy as the only sustainable distributed energy provider in Australia.
It is also expected to boost the company’s internal capabilities to deliver and integrate all renewable energy technology and services, such as solar, wind, battery, and liquified natural gas. The transaction also adds hydrogen, as well as traditional gas and diesel-fired generation to the mix.
ENGV was founded in 2013 as a full-service provider in all areas of hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane and LPG. The company is also recognised as the market leader in green hydrogen and renewable gas services and innovations.
“As a future-focussed organisation, we aim to be at the forefront of delivering renewable energy technology in the field, contributing to our clients’ decarbonisation objectives,” said Jamie Cullen, CEO of Pacific Energy Group.
“The introduction of ENGV’s expertise and experience in the hydrogen and renewable gas fields advances these ambitions as we continue to invest in clean energy solutions,” he added.
In addition to the latest acquisition, Pacific Energy also ventured into multi-year exclusive supply arrangements for Australia and New Zealand with Nel ASA, a global manufacturer of electrolysers.
