Opella Consumer Healthcare ANZ has officially achieved B Corp Certification, marking a milestone in its commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

The announcement coincides with the Australian Government’s $5 million investment to promote the Australian Made/Australian Grown campaign in key export markets – an initiative that Opella ANZ has welcomed as a strong endorsement of local manufacturing.

Lee Coomber, general manager of Opella ANZ, described the certification as a reflection of the company’s deep-rooted commitment to sustainability and its role in Australian manufacturing.

Coomber expressed excitement over Opella ANZ’s official B Corp Certification, noting that the announcement came at a time when the company was also highlighting its commitment to Australian-made products.

“Our brands have a rich Australian history, with deep roots in Brisbane’s northern suburbs. Nature’s Own, for example, began as a humble back-garage business in the late 60s, growing into one of Australia’s most trusted vitamin brands, alongside Ostelin and Cenovis.”

Opella ANZ produces over two billion vitamin tablets and soft-gel capsules annually at its Queensland-based manufacturing site.

The facility has recently undergone more than $40 million in modern upgrades, including eco-friendly investments, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of product development.

“This investment in skills, our people, and our working environment ensures we remain at the forefront of Australian product development,” Coomber said.

“Our local manufacturing workforce in the north of Brisbane makes up 70% of our total workforce.”

Moreover, Coomber emphasised that the company’s commitment to responsible business practices is aligned with both B Corp standards and the values represented by the Australian Made logo.

“As we move forward, we remain committed to leading regenerative manufacturing practices in Australia,” he said.

“We will continue to uphold the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and responsible business practices—values that define us, alongside both B Corp and Australia Made.”

Opella ANZ’s brands, including Ostelin, Cenovis, and Nature’s Own, also play a role in supporting Australian communities through partnerships with charities focused on health and well-being.
