Brisbane-based electrical equipment manufacturer NOJA Power has claimed the title of Queensland Exporter of the Year for 2024.
The company, renowned for its sustainable switchgear technology, was also recognized in the Sustainability and Green Economy category at the Queensland Premier’s Export Awards.
According to the company, its success is driven by its innovative approach to designing environmentally sustainable switchgear, a key component in the electricity distribution grid.
NOJA Power’s switchgear products, including the OSM Recloser, GMK, and VISI-SWITCH, are used by utilities across 106 countries and stand out for being free of toxic materials like sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), an industry standard now considered obsolete due to its environmental impact.
NOJA Power operates from its headquarters in Murarrie, Queensland, with a distribution center in Morningside.
The company strategically benefits from its proximity to the Port of Brisbane, with 88 per cent of its revenue generated from exports.
