Industry experts and leading company representatives from the food and beverage sector are set to convene at the upcoming foodpro 2023 event, which will be held from 23 to 26 July at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The event will showcase the latest next-generation solutions, product innovations, trends, and technologies in its new double program line-up.
foodpro 2023 will feature the new Product Innovation Stage brought by Wiley, which will showcase the latest product developments to support the evolving food manufacturing industry.
Speakers for the segment will dive into topics, such as connected packaging, digitalisation, and functional ingredients.
Event participants will also be given a chance to see the new Schneider Electric Smart Food Lounge, which will feature presentations on the theme of smart food, encompassing efficiency, and solutions to support compliance and traceability while reducing waste and inefficiencies.
Felicity Parker, product manager at foodpro, said the presentations to be featured in the event will be important for visitors and exhibitors to learn about what is driving the industry currently and into the future.
“foodpro is always more than just a chance for suppliers to exhibit,” Parker said. “We’re pleased that this year to offer a range of new features with opportunities for learning and discovery including our dedicated presentation areas.”
In addition to the new stages, the event will also offer two training courses on 24 July hosted by the Australian Institute of Packaging. The courses will revolve around the fast-growing Flexible Packaging segment and Active and Intelligent Packaging.
The Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology’s (AIFST) annual convention will also be held alongside foodpro.
AIFST 23, with the theme “The Science of Food– Security and Sustainability,” will explore the challenges and opportunities ahead for the agri-food industry and the important role food science and technology will play.
