The Deakin Centre for Advanced Design in Engineering has partnered up with Indian multinational IT company Cyient Limited to strengthen the sub-continental cooperation and help Australia transition from traditional to advanced manufacturing.
According to the joint media release, the educational collaboration between the two will allow the graduates from Deakin University to gain access to the leading engineers and expertise of Cyient so they can develop their practical skills and enhance their careers.
“Engineering graduates can’t just be good at their primary skill set – they need creativity, innovation and an understanding of market dynamics. Cyient will not only assist us in generating a curriculum that delivers real outcomes for graduates, but provide Australian engineering students with unique opportunities to collaborate with one of India’s leading commercial multinationals,” said Professor Guy Littlefair of Deakin University.
With its Asia Pacific headquarters based in Melbourne, Cyient recently announced 150 new jobs in Australia, in a bid to meet the growing demands of the market where the company continues to grow.
