MSI has officially entered the Australian electric vehicle (EV) market with new charging solutions designed to support the country’s transition to cleaner transportation.
The global leader in high-performance computing and AI-driven solutions is introducing the MSI EZgo Portable Charger and the MSI EV Series, both tailored for Australian conditions.
These products will be showcased at Everything Electric Australia NSW from 7 to 9 March, addressing the growing demand for accessible EV charging infrastructure.
“Australia’s 2050 net-zero target, combined with an open market and free-trade policies, creates an ideal environment for innovation and competition,” said Jerry Lu, General Manager of MSI Australia.
“By aligning our technology with government initiatives like the $500 million Driving the Nation Program, we’re assisting Aussie drivers in seamlessly transitioning to electric vehicles in urban and remote areas.”
The MSI EZgo Portable Charger, introduced at CES in January, is a compact, plug-and-play solution designed to address range anxiety.
It features an intuitive phone app for load management, flexible scheduling, and remote monitoring. MSI has partnered with local smart socket provider NOX Energy to integrate these features with its Intelligent Power Socket (IPS), enhancing convenience for EV owners.
For those requiring more robust charging infrastructure, the MSI EV Series offers a durable option designed for Australia’s extreme weather conditions.
These chargers are built to withstand temperatures up to 55°C and include IP55 dust and water resistance, IK08 impact protection, and ASTM B117 salt-spray testing.
They are backed by a two-year warranty, local service support, and USD 5 million in product insurance, ensuring reliability for both residential and commercial use.
All MSI EV chargers comply with the Australian RCM standard for product safety.
MSI is also planning to introduce a solar-ready EV charger later this year, further supporting Australia’s renewable energy goals.
“MSI’s mission is to deliver reliable, forward-looking solutions that power Australia’s green future,” Lu added.
“By continuously refining our hardware and software, we aim to meet current EV needs and stay one step ahead as the market expands and consumer expectations rise.”
MSI will showcase its EV charging solutions at Everything Electric Australia NSW at Sydney Olympic Park from 7 to 9 March, with live demonstrations and expert discussions available at Booths E16, 17, and 18.
Pricing and availability for the MSI EZgo Portable Charger will be announced closer to its commercial launch.
