OFS has launched Mayvn AI, a generative artificial intelligence platform designed to enhance manufacturing productivity and improve communication between executives and operational teams.

The Melbourne-based company stated in a news release that the software provides real-time insights to help bridge the gap between leadership and factory personnel.

Mayvn AI has been trialed by several manufacturers, including US confectionery company Tootsie Roll Industries (NYSE: TR), which reported a reduction of certain data-related procedures by more than 90 per cent.

Eric Bader, Manufacturing Systems Manager at Tootsie Roll Industries, noted that the platform provides actionable data.

“There are things we ‘knew’ were an issue, but Mayvn AI validates and quickly gives us data to be able to effectively demonstrate the impact of those issues,” Bader said.

“We’ve seen all levels of our team use Mayvn, from our COO to VPs right through to the factory floor. The speed at which it can give us concrete, actionable data and its prompting suggestions to dive deeper into that have been particularly useful.”

OFS CEO James Magee described Mayvn AI as a tool that supports manufacturing leaders in managing information from multiple functions, including finance, operations, supply chain, and compliance.

“They are time-poor, constantly making high-stakes decisions, and determining where best to focus their attention,” Magee said.

According to Magee, manufacturing executives often face challenges in maintaining visibility over factory operations.

He said Mayvn AI allows them to quickly access key insights and engage in discussions with site managers and frontline workers.

“Now an executive can sit in their car outside a factory and ask Mayvn AI for three things they should talk to the site manager about based on last month’s performance,” he said.

He added that this level of engagement could contribute to improved operational performance and profitability.

“The impact is exponentially greater when the engagement starts at the very top. Mayvn AI takes it to the next level as the executive can ask how much the faulty flow wrapper is costing the business, whether there is a return on investment for replacing it, and even highlight the capital investment needed.”

OFS states that the launch of Mayvn AI aligns with the Australian government’s Future Made in Australia initiative, which aims to support domestic manufacturing in sectors such as renewable energy, industrial innovation, and technology.

The company has applied for a global patent for Mayvn AI, citing its use of manufacturing-based data models that enhance the quality of insights delivered.

Following its initial trials, OFS plans to expand the platform’s availability to international markets, including the UK, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America, where it is set to open a new headquarters in Argentina later this year.

Mayvn AI is now available for deployment, with further details accessible through OFS.
