Federal member for Macarthur, Dr Mike Freelander has visited family-owned company Decorative Imaging (DECO) at their new manufacturing facility on Airds Road, to gain a better understanding of the manufacturing ability in the Macarthur area, and what he can do to better to support industry and local economic growth.
Dr Freelander was taken on a tour of the factory and met the staff of this rapidly growing family-owned business.
DECO founder and director Ross Doonan said the MP was impressed with their innovative technology and range of products, and vowed to assist with the industry’s health into the future.
“Topics I discussed with Dr Freelander during his visit included the research and development tax incentive, the large increase in gas and electrical prices and the need for more industry training and skills development,” Mr Doonan stated.
DECO is an Australian business manufacturing quality aluminium building and architectural systems and supplying specialty industrial finishings and protective coatings.
The company offers innovative Super DurableTM sublimated powder coating finishes for architectural products, splashbacks and signage, as well as a range of durable, attractive protective coatings and pre-treatments for applications within the automotive, engineering, cookware, medical, pharmaceutical, mining and defence industries.
