Kimberley Kampers, one of Australia’s longest-standing luxury RV manufacturers, has unveiled its new deluxe motorhome, Kruiswagen, in celebration of its 30th anniversary in the industry.
The new motorhome adds to the company’s top-of-the-line products, which include offroad camper trailers and caravans.
“To continue this tradition, and celebrate our 30-year heritage, we’re expanding our range to include an offroad motorhome and as always, increase the performance and comfort of our existing caravans,” said James Cockburn, owner and Ceo of Kimberley Kampers.
Built on a 2024 Mercedes Benz platform, with a factory-fitted AWD and a 2” lift kit, the Kruiswagen is designed to be off-road-ready with a simple push-button start and a standard driver’s license.
The motorhome features a new 2.0L 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine equipped with lighter weight, more power and up to 31 per cent more fuel efficiency than prior models.
“With its exceptional features and cutting-edge technology, the Kruiswagen is the perfect companion for those who seek the ultimate adventure without compromising comfort and style or sacrificing travel dreams for work,” Cockburn said.
Regionally-based manufacturing hub Kimberley Kampers currently employs a local workforce of 62 in Ballina. Since its founding in 1993, the company has sold over 8,500 units nationally and internationally, generating over $7 million each year for the local economy through employment and local suppliers, over $13 million for the national economy and over $3.6 million per year as an export to countries such as the United States.
“We spent the last 18 months de-risking our business, and our vision is to continue to grow our manufacturing capability here in Ballina,” said Cockburn. “We’ve had employees with us for over ten years, and we want to make sure we can continue to evolve and innovate for the thirty.”
“Kimberley Kampers will remain an iconic and trusted brand for adventurous spirits worldwide. Our commitment to quality, technology, and the environment will make us the first choice for off-grid travel, fostering a global community united by the love of discovery of out-of-the-way and off-the-beaten-track gem locations.”
