Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, announced a strategic expansion of its partnership with Microsoft to accelerate the adoption of generative AI and Microsoft Azure solutions worldwide.

The enhanced collaboration aims to help joint customers maximise their technology investments and achieve transformative outcomes, as stated in a media release.

Infosys has been an early adopter of Microsoft’s GitHub Copilot, a generative AI-powered tool for code development.

“Infosys is a top GitHub Copilot ‘customer zero,’ with over 18,000 developers generating more than 7 million lines of code using the tool,” according to Infosys.

This early adoption has enabled Infosys to gain efficiencies in code modernisation and offer enterprise AI innovation to its clients globally.

As part of this collaboration, Infosys has been selected as a strategic supplier to support Cloud and AI workloads for Microsoft’s enterprise customers.

The company will integrate Microsoft’s generative AI suite into its own Solution IP portfolio, helping clients achieve better cost-efficiency and scalability.

“Our expanded collaboration with Infosys will transform industries, enhance business operations, and deliver new value for customers,” said Nicole Dezen, chief partner officer at Microsoft.

The scope of this collaboration spans multiple industries, including financial services, healthcare, supply chain, telecommunications, and energy management.

In healthcare, Infosys Helix—a next-gen healthcare payer platform built on Microsoft Azure—will optimise patient outcomes through AI/ML automation.

In the financial sector, Infosys’ Finacle suite will work alongside Microsoft’s capabilities to streamline processes and improve customer experiences.

In addition, the companies are jointly working on responsible AI initiatives. Infosys is contributing to Microsoft’s Responsible AI Partner Initiative, helping to develop ethical AI guidelines.

“This collaboration addresses various business problems by delivering heightened value to clients through a customer-centric approach,” said Anand Swaminathan, EVP and Global Industry Leader at Infosys.
