Hisense Australia has announced that it will be an official sponsor at the 2014 Australian Open and Australian Open Series tournaments, the Brisbane International and Apia International Sydney.
Hisense is a global television and refrigeration manufacturer with presence in more than 130 countries around the world.
Hisense’s sponsorship will see the company be the television of choice in the first Grand Slam tennis event of the year, and tennis fans can catch all the live action from Queensland Tennis Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena.
“This a [sic] fantastic step the company is taking to increase awareness of the Hisense brand, it’s simply a culmination of our ongoing strategy,” said Andre Iannuzzi, head of marketing, Hisense Australia in a media release. “We are directly aligning ourselves with a great Australian pastime that’s been played in Hisense Arena for years.”
According to the release Hisense recognizes the importance of aligning the brand with a strong tennis community at a higher level. The company has organized a Family Fun activation area in the Grand Slam Oval, details of which will be revealed at www.facebook.com/hisenseau at the beginning of next year. A number of giveaways will also take place on the Facebook page from now until the start of the Australian Open.
Craig Tiley, CEO of Tennis Australia and Tournament Director of the Australian Open says they are thrilled to welcome Hisense as an official sponsor.
“Each year Hisense Arena plays host to some of the world’s top tennis players competing at the Australian Open, and we are very excited to see Hisense extend its association with the event,” Mr. Tiley said.
“In 2014 Hisense will be the official supplier of all television and refrigeration appliances, testament to the outstanding quality of Hisense products befitting a world class sporting event.”
