The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC) has confirmed that it has received ongoing support from the Australian Government in the 2018-19 Budget.
Dr Jens Goennemann, Managing Director, AMGC said the allocated funding was a signal that the direction and leadership provided by the Centre is making a tangible impact across the manufacturing landscape.
“We are very pleased to receive this positive vote of support from the Australian Government. It shows that we are on the right track by providing the necessary leadership and encouraging the building of a competitive and resilient industry,” Mr Goennemann stated.
“We will continue our efforts to ignite an innovative manufacturing spirit across Australia as we transform into the new world of manufacturing.”
The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre is an industry-led organisation established through the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Centres initiative.
It co-funds projects that demonstrate the technical leadership and servitisation needed to build a competitive industry, with project funds available to all manufacturers that meet criteria of collaboration, commercialisation and competitiveness.
