GenusPlus Group Ltd has been chosen as Preferred Proponent to deliver Transgrid’s HumeLink Transmission Project in collaboration with ACCIONA and Kalpataru Power Transmission.

HumeLink will aid in securing Australia’s renewable energy supply for millions of residents as outdated coal-fired power plants are retired.

The contract with Transgrid and the joint venture agreement conditions are still being worked out. The project’s value will be established after the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Stage 2 procedure is completed.

“It is an exciting moment for Genus and partners, to be named preferred contractor for HumeLink East. Genus is extremely proud to be entrusted to deliver a nationally

significant infrastructure project alongside our partners ACCIONA and Kalpataru Power Transmission,” Managing Director David Riches said.

HumeLink is one of NSW’s major energy infrastructure projects, connecting Wagga Wagga, Bannaby, and Maragle. It also includes new and improved infrastructure at four substantiation locations.

The HumeLink East section will feature the installation of a new transmission line between Bannaby and the Interface Point and the augmentation of the current Bannaby substation.
