Foodpro 2014 will span over 20,000 square meters at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center and will present every aspect of the Australian Food Processing industry.

The show, which is held once every three years, is widely considered to be the most prestigious trade event for the industry within the Asia Pacific region. It is expected to be attended by more than 10,000 people who will be able to see more than 300 suppliers of the food and beverage sectors.

The first section will be showcasing processing equipment for meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables, while a special technical area will exhibit food science and technology, including ingredients, additives and flavorings, as well as laboratory equipment and Food Safety.

In addition, Foodpro 2014 will also boast a dedicated plant equipment section featuring water treatments, pumps, doors and flooring and a broad spectrum of food plant services, as well as a vast packaging and handling area specialized for the food industry.

Foodpro Exhibition Manager Peter Petherick said he was pleased about the move to Victoria claiming it will help the state’s local food and manufacturing sector and attract new audience.

“Victoria accounts for close to half of the country’s prepared food products and employs more than 70,000 people within food and beverage manufacturing.”

“To have Foodpro on your doorstep for the first time is a great opportunity for the whole food manufacturing industry.”

According to him, next year’s edition of Foodpro will be one of the largest ever and will showcase all the latest products, ideas and technological advances from around the globe, providing the manufacturing industry with opportunity to meet the market face-to-face.

“Foodpro 2014 will pave the way of the future for the food manufacturing industry,” Mr. Petherick said. “An exhibition of this magnitude only comes along once every three years and should be at the top of the list for every food processing company’s marketing plan.”

Furthermore, the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology Incorporated (AIFST) will also host its 47th annual Convention from 22nd-25th of June, 2014 at the same location with Foodpro.

This will allow delegates to meet representatives from the food manufacturing and allied industries– the largest manufacturing sector in Australia.
