Fleet Space Technologies is set to build its new global headquarters and space technology hyper factory at Adelaide Airport, aiming to boost Australia’s role in space and climate tech.

The facility will support the production of satellites, smart sensors, and the company’s AI-driven exploration platform, ExoSphere, Fleet said in a news release.

CEO Flavia Tata Nardini said the development is a milestone for Australian innovation. “This marks a significant leap for Fleet Space as we advance frontier technologies tackling climate change and space exploration,” she said.

GHQ will house Fleet Space’s AI supercomputer, ExoCore, designed to accelerate mineral discovery.

The facility is expected to create hundreds of jobs and expand partnerships with major mining firms, including Rio Tinto and Barrick.

Chief Exploration Officer Matt Pearson described GHQ as a next-generation manufacturing model for space and climate technologies.

The announcement follows Fleet Space’s acquisition of HiSeis and the upcoming deployment of its SPIDER lunar exploration technology in 2026.

The company also received a Moon to Mars Supply Chain Grant for advanced gravity sensing capabilities.

Brenton Cox, Managing Director of Adelaide Airport, welcomed the project.

“We’re proud to develop Fleet Space’s headquarters and hyper factory at Catalyst Park,” he said.

With a recent AUD 150 million funding round doubling its valuation to AUD 800 million, Fleet Space is also expanding its STEM initiative, LaunchBox, providing students hands-on experience in satellite technology.

According to Fleet, the GHQ is expected to bolster South Australia’s innovation sector and strengthen global space collaboration.
