Fine Food Australia, a trade fair for the food, beverage, and hospitality industry, is returning to Sydney from 11 to 14 September 2023 to put the spotlight on key sponsors’ new interactive innovations and technology to improve the food manufacturing sector.
The four-day event, which will take place at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, will be backed by platinum sponsor MILKLAB, major sponsors Mayers and Square Australia, as well as strategic partner and major sponsor Investment NSW on behalf of the NSW Government.
Event manager Andrew Lawson expressed his delight in collaborating with industry leaders to guarantee that the event features the latest and greatest in food industry innovation each year.
“We are excited to be working with this year’s partners and continuing to grow our network to deliver the best Fine Food Australia show yet,” Lawson noted.
This year, MILKLAB, manufacturer of plant-based and dairy cafe milks, will introduce a new experience inspired by Melbourne’s urban coffee culture.
Natalie Latimore, MILKLAB marketing manager, said attendees will be encouraged to explore and discover the “laneways of MILKLAB” by the new-look stand, which features outside, hole-in-the-wall style eateries and hip coffee carts.
“Here visitors can enjoy a unique and exciting coffee experience that showcases perfect pairings and highlights tasting notes of the MILKLAB range,” Latimore remarked.
She added that the stand was constructed using environmentally friendly materials, such as SaveBoard, low-carbon building materials created from recycled Tetra packaging.
Products from Mayers, who is the sponsor of the Mayers Innovation in Patisserie Stage, will be used in daily demonstrations in collaboration with Vanrooy Machinery.
Organisers said there will be masterclasses taught by top pastry chefs on sweets, cakes, and other topics.
“We value our customers and product knowledge is key, so we like to give back to industry, our community and market by supporting free demonstrations from highly qualified, skilled professionals,” said Kiara Diestro, Mayers national event manager.
Meanwhile, Talking Tech, a new talk series sponsored by Square Australia, will delve deeply into the influences, opportunities, and breakthroughs in the hospitality tech industry.
At the event, the Square team will be showcasing how their recognisable hardware and user-friendly software can help to reduce some of the chaos associated with operating a restaurant.
Visitors can observe how the Square for Restaurants mobile POS increases the efficiency of wait staff by enabling them to accept orders and payments from a single device, freeing up more time for them to please clients.
Additionally, Square will demonstrate its Kitchen Display System, which unifies the front and back of the house.
“We’re delighted to be a part of Fine Food Australia again in 2023, showcasing a number of our sellers who have used our technology to automate their operations, build new revenue streams and grow. We are looking forward to sharing tangible insights into how other restaurants, cafes, and hospitality businesses can do the same,” concluded said Jean Magalhães, senior product marketing manager of Square for Restaurants.
