The finalists for the 62nd Australian Export Awards have been announced, recognising 88 national finalists who excelled in export achievements across various sectors.
These finalists emerged as winners in state and territory Export Award ceremonies, acknowledged for their contributions to Australia’s economy through job creation and export growth.
This year’s finalists collectively employed more than 24,300 people and generated nearly $8 billion in export earnings in the last financial year.
Notably, over half of these businesses are small enterprises with annual turnovers of less than $10 million, highlighting the crucial role small businesses play in Australia’s export market.
From urban centers to regional towns, these businesses share a common goal – expanding their reach into international markets and boosting the global presence of Australian goods and services.
Their successes underline the vital role exports play in sustaining stable, well-paying jobs across the nation.
The Australian Export Awards have celebrated the international success of over 2,000 Australian businesses since their inception in 1963.
The 62nd National Ceremony will take place on 20 November 2024, where winners in 13 award categories will be named, and the highly anticipated Australian Exporter of the Year will be announced.
The program, presented by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), is a collaborative effort involving state and territory partners, alongside sponsors.
