FBR has signed an agreement with Liebherr-Mischtechnik GmbH to support the localisation and assembly of its Hadrian X construction robots in the United States.

The collaboration marks the initial step toward establishing a dedicated assembly plant for Hadrian X in the US, a move expected to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce production times.

Under the agreement, robotic modules will initially be produced in Australia before being assembled in the US.

Over time, FBR said it plans to manufacture more components locally, a strategy aimed at enhancing efficiency, lowering costs, and simplifying servicing for US-based customers.

FBR stated that Liebherr’s expertise and growing network of manufacturing facilities in the US position the company as a suitable partner for this initiative.

The partnership will also help Liebherr gain deeper insights into the assembly process of Hadrian X robots on US truck bases, contributing to the ongoing exploration of their broader collaboration under the Memorandum of Understanding.

This includes evaluating opportunities for the mutually beneficial commercialization of Wall as a Service in the US market.

As a result, both parties have agreed to extend the Memorandum of Understanding by another 12 months, until 1 March 2026.

Stephen Albrecht, Managing Director of Liebherr-International AG, highlighted the capabilities of the Hadrian X, stating that field trials in the US had reinforced its status as “the most advanced and commercially viable fully automated construction robot available today.”

Albrecht added that Liebherr looks forward to further developing its relationship with FBR and supporting the commercial rollout of Wall as a Service® both in the US and globally.
