ASX-listed DroneShield announced the receipt of a repeat order totalling $2.2 million from a European Government customer.

The order is for multiple fixed-site DroneSentry counterdrone systems, reinforcing the success of the initial order made public on 1 September 2022, the company revealed in a press release.

The comprehensive order encompasses various technology components, including RfOne radiofrequency-based long-range drone sensing systems, radars, electro-optic sensors featuring DroneShield’s proprietary DroneOptID image recognition and tracking software, and DroneCannon wide-area effectors.

This integrated system is powered by DroneShield’s advanced DroneSentry-C2 AI-based command-and-control system, which includes the proprietary SFAI sensor fusion engine.

According to DroneShield, the customer has opted to receive all Software as a Service (SaaS)-based updates relevant to the DroneSentry system.

Oleg Vornik, CEO of DroneShield, expressed satisfaction with the customer’s decision to expand their deployment.

He stated, “The customer has had several fully deployed systems for a period of time, following the purchase approximately a year ago, and has now commenced a broader rollout of a fleet of DroneSentry systems, commencing with this order. DroneShield will provide additional updates as orders for further systems are received.”

He further highlighted the versatility of DroneShield’s offerings, noting, “This order includes several handheld systems, as the customer was seeking both fixed site and handheld capability, one of the key differentiators of DroneShield’s offering.”

The CEO underscored the broader significance of the order, pointing out that it highlights the advantages of DroneShield’s capability to serve as a comprehensive solution for various counterdrone needs.

This includes the provision of proprietary sensors, integration of third-party sensors, and the supply of a proprietary C2 AI engine.

DroneShield anticipates fulfilling and delivering the order by the end of 2023, with the majority of payments expected before shipping.

The company has strategically scaled up its operations to swiftly execute such orders, with a significant portion of the projected 2024 revenue stemming from orders anticipated in 2024.
