DroneShield has secured a $4.7 million contract with a new non-government Swiss international customer.

The order entails providing multiple vehicle-based counterdrone-drone (C-UxS) systems, designed to offer a rapidly deployable platform for both static and on-the-move (OTM) missions, crucial for convoy and mobile VIP protection.

“This order highlights DroneShield’s expertise not only as a maker of cutting-edge AI-based C-UAS sensor and effector technologies, but also as a system integrator,” said Oleg Vornik, DroneShield CEO.

Payments are anticipated to be received over the course of 2024, with the last payment anticipated in the first quarter of 2025, the company said in an ASX announcement.

This contract underscores DroneShield’s growing influence in the international defence sector, particularly in delivering advanced solutions for challenging operational environments.

The vehicle-based C-UxS systems will integrate DroneShield’s radio frequency detection and mitigation, radar, and electro-optical sensors into a single, cohesive platform.

This system will be powered by the DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control system, featuring its proprietary AI-based sensor fusion engine, offering unprecedented operational flexibility and effectiveness.

“We are excited to have this new customer onboard and doing more work with them over coming years,” Vornik concluded.
