South Korean global manufacturer Doosan Robotics announced today the launch of its E-SERIES, the company’s National Sanitation Foundation-certified collaborative robot line specifically created for the food and beverage (F&B) industry.
The E-SERIES, so named for its technical “edge,” offers the versatility to produce food or beverage while providing low prices and setting standards for safety and hygiene, the company said in a press release.
With the series debut, Doosan Robotics unveiled 13 new cobots, its largest lineup in the global cobot market with a broad variety of product options that includes the M, A, and H-SERIES, customised for process performance and industrial demands for customers.
“Robert Chicken,” a Korean fried chicken concept run entirely by cobots, is one of the many applications for which Doosan Robotics E-SERIES has been evaluated.
Doosan Robotics’ “Dr Presso” has also tested and deployed the E-SERIES to brew coffee and other beverages.
The Seoul-headquartered company said it intends to continue modifying the E-SERIES for other F&B applications such as baking, barbeque, and specialty QSR operations.
“Our E-SERIES cobots were specifically created to help transform the food and beverage industry, providing immediate solutions to labour shortages and improving work efficiencies,” William (Junghoon) Ryu, CEO of Doosan Robotics, remarked.
According to the CEO, the company will continue to lead the worldwide cobot sector based on this momentum.
Founded in 2015 by Doosan Group, Doosan Robotics develops advanced technology and provides cobot solutions for manufacturing, service, and other industries.
To date, the Group said it has a total of 25 affiliates and 114 global entities worldwide, generating a revenue of $13 billion in 2022.
