The Digital Jobs for Manufacturing program is launching new courses starting March 2024 in a move set to bolster the manufacturing sector with cutting-edge digital skills.
These courses, designed for senior managers and decision-makers in manufacturing, aim to foster a strategic understanding of emerging technologies and their practical applications in a business context, Business Victoria posted on its website.
Launching in March 2024, the upcoming courses under the Digital Jobs for Manufacturing program seek to be instrumental in shaping the digital landscape for industry leaders.
Monash College introduces “Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance for Leaders,” providing essential insights into navigating the complex realm of cybersecurity.
Another offering from Monash College is “Change and Digital Manufacturing: How to lead your business through the digitization journey,” designed to equip leaders with the skills needed to guide their enterprises through digital transformations.
Swinburne University of Technology contributes “De-mystifying Industry 4.0 for Leaders,” offering a comprehensive understanding of the fourth industrial revolution.
Additionally, the university presents “Digital Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 Awareness and Experience: 1 Day Workshop for Leaders,” a condensedl session providing leaders with hands-on experience in the digital manufacturing landscape.
Applications for these courses can be submitted through the program’s Apply Now button, offering senior executives a unique opportunity to stay ahead in the digital landscape.
Enabling businesses to enroll nominated employees in a 12-week online, part-time, industry-endorsed digital skills course, the program covers a range of streams including AI/machine learning, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and more.
Courses are scheduled to run in January, May, and September 2023, as well as January and April 2024.
To be eligible for the program, businesses must meet specific criteria, including being a legal entity with an operating business presence in Victoria and having a current ABN and GST registration.
Applicants must also attest to meeting industrial relations obligations and commit to making employees available for training and future program evaluation activities.
Grants of up to $5000 are available per employee, encouraging businesses to incorporate a digital element into their positions post-training.
Eligible businesses can secure funding for up to five employees throughout the program’s duration.
Applications close at 11:59 pm on 31 March 2024, or until funds are allocated earlier.
