Coates Power & HVAC completes urgent delivery of industrial chiller to Visy

Coates, a leading equipment hire and solutions provider in Australia, said its Coates Power & HVAC business unit has deployed an 800 kW industrial chiller to help packaging solutions giant Visy maintain a vital production line. 

Visy required the industrial chiller after facing disruption to its milk bottle production line. The company engaged Coates Power & HVAC to install immediately a suitable chiller. 

In a press release, Coates said the delivery and installation of the chiller from New South Wales to Victoria was completed within 36 hours. The chiller is the largest of its kind ever deployed by Coates’ South Business Unit. 

The chiller was first subjected to pre-testing to ensure it was in working order. Coates Power & HVAC then facilitated the delivery of the equipment to Visy’s site, where it soon had the production line back up and running. 

“We got the call on Wednesday afternoon, delivered Thursday and had a Coates chiller operating by Friday morning; we turned it around in 36 hours from time of order,” said Paul De Villiers, business development manager at Coates. 

“The launch of Coates Power & HVAC equips us with a range of services and equipment that we can deploy to minimise the impact of critical plant failures impacting production in the Manufacturing sector. This is a great example of being able to deliver and install vital equipment quickly to get things back up and running for our customers,” he added. 

Coates Power & HVAC was launched earlier this year to deliver turnkey solutions for power, compressed air, climate control, and process cooling. 

The business touts an extensive range of custom-built equipment and end-to-end service and support designed for industries such as engineering, mining, oil and gas, and manufacturing.
