CIMIC Group’s UGL has secured a series of new contracts and extensions in Western Australia, with a combined value of approximately $150 million in revenue across multiple years.
The contracts involve key partnerships with major energy and resource companies, reinforcing UGL’s position in the sector, CIMIC stated in a news release.
Among the agreements is an 11-month extension with Alcoa for the continued management and execution of mechanical, electrical, and access services at its mining and refining operations.
UGL has also been awarded a contract with Chevron Australia for construction services, which includes supporting the installation of modules, equipment, structure, piping, and electrical and instrumentation works.
Additionally, bp has extended its contract with UGL for two years, covering maintenance, tank turnaround, and construction services at the Kwinana Energy Hub.
Woodside Energy Global has also extended its non-binding Framework Agreement with UGL subsidiary IAS Group for one year, ensuring the continued provision of ultra-high-pressure water cleaning, surface preparation and coating, cladding and insulation, and technical services.
CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaría highlighted UGL’s contributions to the local industry, stating, “We take pride in being a major employer in Western Australia, and in using our experience in maintenance, project and shutdown services to work with energy suppliers as they deliver resources across the country.”
UGL Managing Director Doug Moss emphasised the company’s commitment to ongoing partnerships, saying, “We are pleased to continue our longstanding relationships with our clients in Western Australia. Through these contract awards and contract extensions, UGL continues to provide a safe, reliable, and quality outcome for these important projects.”
