CDE, a provider of wet processing solutions for the waste recycling and minerals processing sectors, has established its new Australian headquarters in Queensland as part of its commitment to the local market.
The new 2,900m² location in Stapylton, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, is part of larger development ambitions and follows the announcement and commissioning of numerous new large-scale projects in the Australasian market.
CDE’s investment in its new Australian headquarters involves the creation of fully stocked and controlled shops to hold high-wear, consumable, and crucial plant components in an effort to reduce plant downtime, as revealed in a press release.
According to the company, it has progressively developed its local staff to more than 20 professionals across its business development, project management, installation, commissioning, and after-sales support departments, with further recruiting plans in the works.
An established market leader in the region, CDE has designed and engineered over 60 projects across Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, including turnkey solutions for Repurpose It – dubbed “Australia’s most sophisticated resource recovery plant” – and Walker Quarries – one of New South Wales’ newest and most advanced quarry wash plants.
In 2022, the wet processing equipment provider was granted the contract to design, develop, and implement a cutting-edge washing system for Rino Recycling’s Pinkenba plant in Brisbane for the treatment of construction and demolition (C&D) and commercial and industrial waste materials.
When fully operational, the new Rino Recycling plant will have the potential to recycle more than 1.5 million tonnes of C&D waste material per year in order to recover high-quality recycled sand and aggregates and provide a quality alternative to virgin quarried material to the building sector.
CDE’s Australasian general manager, Daniel Webber, stated that the objective of the new headquarters is “to create our best world a ton at a time” by helping clients in realising their mission and vision.
“By growing our regional team, we are closer to our clients during the sales process, resulting in better solutions being developed; we are closer during project delivery, leading to safer and more efficient work sites; and, most importantly, we are closer once our customers’ plants are operational, enabling us help maintain uptime through scheduled maintenance activities and prompt professional breakdown support,” Webber explained.
He added, “We have great confidence in the potential of this market and we’re fully committed to supporting new and existing customers, whose trust in our expertise is key to making this very investment possible.”
According to Peter Neely, CDE’s CustomCare Regional Manager for Australasia, the company is now able to provide easily accessible components for the local market for the first time.
“Responsive on-the-ground support and locally available parts with short lead times means we are better equipped to strengthen our direct relationships with customers, ensuring their plants continue to run material at optimum efficiency to support a fast return on investment,” Neely stated.
