French business consultancy firm Capgemini has joined forces with Dassault Systèmes and University of Adelaide to launch a collaborative education program to develop skills for the future workforce in the marine and offshore sector.
Based on Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and developed in collaboration with the University of Adelaide, the accelerated, four-month program will comprise of theory, practical and soft skills courses for both young graduates and experienced practitioners.
Luc-Francois Salvador, Executive Chairman, Capgemini in Asia Pacific said Capgemini will provide global experts across a range of soft skills and in areas across product life cycle management to cybersecurity, customer experience, cloud and artificial intelligence.

“This industry collaboration is a catalyst for rapidly accelerating a more productive and adaptive future workforce, especially in the defence and naval related industries in South Australia.

Florence Verzelen, Executive Vice President at Dassault Systèmes said the goal is for learners to acquire the fundamental concepts of the company’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform, understand the digital transformation challenges of customers and to implement the 3DEXPERIENCE platform within new industrial processes of today and into the future.

Professor Pascale Quester, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), University of Adelaide said the new short course was a perfect example of how innovation in education can help upskill workers and to transition them from other industry sectors.
