BST Global launches AI + Data Consortium to transform AEC industry

BST Global, a leader in AI-powered project intelligence solutions for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector, announced the formation of its AI + Data Consortium. 

This initiative brings together technology leaders with the goal of championing AI-powered and data-driven innovation within the AEC industry, as revealed in a media release. 

The inaugural members of the consortium include:

  • Tembi Hommes, Global Chief Data Officer, Arup
  • Darren Martin, Chief Digital Officer, AtkinsRéalis
  • Javier A. Baldor, Chief Executive Officer, BST Global
  • Eileen M. Canady, Chief Marketing Officer, BST Global
  • Joseph Joseph, Partner & Chief Digital Officer, Gensler
  • Ricardo Lorenzo, Chief Technology Officer, Parsons Corporation
  • Jason B. Miller, Head of Innovation, Ramboll
  • Shankar Kalyana, Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Stantec
  • Chadi Habib, Chief Technology Officer & Business Solutions Manager, WSP

The consortium aims to lead transformative efforts in the AEC industry by:

  • Defining best practices, standards, and recommendations
  • Collaborating on strategic projects to enhance industry operations
  • Producing original research through global surveys focusing on AI and data
  • Sharing insights and information specific to the industry
  • Facilitating connections among peers to expand the knowledge network
  • Advocating for industry and client interests
  • Aggregating data for benchmarking, analysis, and optimization

Javier Baldor, CEO of BST Global, emphasised the potential impact of the consortium, stating, “There is a once-in-a-generation opportunity before us to reimagine and transform the future of our industry with AI, big data, and emerging technologies.”

Members of the consortium will participate in BST Global’s AI Summit 2025, scheduled for 6 to 8 May 2025, in Palm Beach. 

This event marks the second annual AI Summit, which focuses on AI developments in the AEC industry.
