Lovells Automotive Systems has launched a 4000kg Braked Towing Capacity (BTC) upgrade for the Next-Gen Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel.
This upgrade is designed for vehicles already fitted with Lovells’ Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) upgrade, providing a solution for those seeking enhanced towing capacity.
The upgrade, aimed at a variety of users such as government agencies, mining companies, tradespeople, farmers, and travellers, boosts the towing capacity of the Ford Ranger.
The aim is to meet the demand for a towing solution that ensures compliance with safety standards while improving towing performance.
The 4000kg BTC upgrade has passed local testing and is fully compliant with Australian federal and state regulations.
It is designed and manufactured in Australia, meeting local reliability and performance standards.
Key features include a Heavy Duty HaulAce All-Terrain Tow Hitch and Pillar made from duplex stainless steel, an Extra-Heavy Duty Tow Bar Assembly specifically for the Ford Ranger, and a Weight Distribution Hitch Kit with an Anti-Sway System.
Other elements include a corrosion-resistant Aero Stainless-Steel Handbrake and an anti-theft locking mechanism. The system is built for use across both off-road and highway conditions.
The upgrade is available for Ford Ranger Next-Gen 3.0L V6 Diesel models (2022 onwards) in Double-Cab and Double-Cab Chassis configurations.
Installation takes under two hours, and the product comes with a 2-year/40,000km warranty.
It is available through Lovells’ network of franchises and authorised dealers across the country.
Priced at $3,800.00 plus GST, the 4000kg BTC upgrade is intended to help businesses and vehicle operators stay within legal towing limits, reducing risks related to OH&S regulations, legal liabilities, and insurance issues.
