Australian bus manufacturer ARCC has unveiled a new electric bus that is capable of being converted to run on hydrogen fuel cells.

The new bus is made from lightweight aluminium and has a reduced weight of 2 tonnes, which allows for quicker charging times and increased passenger capacity.

ARCC Managing Director Peter Murley stated that the company is committed to providing Australian fleets with electric buses that are ready for the future of sustainable transportation.

“We believe our Hybrid Bus is not only the smartest option for fleet managers today, but it’s also designed with tomorrow in mind.” he said.

“The ability to convert to hydrogen fuel cells when they become a viable option makes our Hybrid Bus the most sustainable option for Australian fleets.”

ARCC, an Australian-designed and manufactured electric bus that can be easily converted to run on hydrogen fuel cells, will be unveiled next week at Sydney Show Grounds 5-6 October 2022.

The company’s managing director, Peter Murley, believes that ARCC has delivered Australia’s first smart bus – one that is designed with the future of sustainable transportation in mind.

The Hybrid Bus features an aluminium chassis which reduces weight by 2 tonnes, making it easier to charge and increasing passenger capacity. What’s more, ARCC is committed to providing Australian fleets with electric buses that are ready for the switch to hydrogen-powered vehicles when they become a viable option.

As such, the company’s Hybrid Bus offers the most sustainable transport solution available in Australia today.
