
Ampcontrol has appointed Murray Lyster as Executive General Manager – Customer Experience & Delivery, a role aimed at aligning customer engagement with the company’s strategic growth objectives.
Lyster, who began in the position in February 2025, brings extensive experience in sales, business development, and engineering, having most recently served as Head of Sales at Innomotics Australia, a former Siemens subsidiary with which Ampcontrol maintains a collaborative partnership.
Ampcontrol Managing Director & CEO Rod Henderson emphasised the significance of Lyster’s appointment, stating that his leadership will enhance customer-focused initiatives as the company advances its efforts in electrification and decarbonisation.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Lyster is expected to play a critical role in overseeing Ampcontrol’s Sales & Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Service teams, the company said in a media release.
He expressed enthusiasm for his new role, highlighting the collaborative efforts required to support the energy transition.

Beyond his corporate background, Lyster has been actively involved in energy policy and advocacy.
Since joining the board of the Australian Hydrogen Council in 2017 and later becoming its Chair in 2020, he has contributed to shaping Australia’s hydrogen industry.
