AM Solutions – 3D post-processing technology and EOS have shared the initial outcomes of their collaboration aimed at enhancing the SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) printing process.
The two companies, which specialise in 3D printing and post-processing solutions, are showcasing their developments at this year’s Formnext exhibition.
The partnership, established in 2023, focuses on optimising the additive manufacturing process chain in the SLS sector, AM Solutions said in a media release.
The goal is to automate post-processing and improve cost efficiency in series production. As part of this collaboration, the companies have been developing new technologies, with a particular focus on solutions for the EOS P3 NEXT polymer printer.
David Soldan, Head of AM Solutions – 3D post-processing technology, highlighted the progress made in the past year.
“We have been working together intensively and have already achieved significant progress,” Soldan said. The collaboration has led to the development of two new machine concepts aimed at improving post-processing efficiency.
Innovative post-processing solutions
One of the key innovations is an automated unpacking solution designed to depowder parts in a cost-effective and reproducible manner while reducing operator exposure to powder.
In addition, a 2-in-1 solution has been created to both screen and mix powder, combining two crucial steps into one machine.
This system is designed to optimise space and reduce costs. Early results from EOS’s testing of the solutions have been reported positive.
Both companies have expressed optimism about the collaboration’s potential. “The collaboration with EOS is extremely constructive and based on partnership. In our view, the two machine solutions will prove to be real game changers.”

As a result of this collaboration, our customers will have an end-to-end production solution that streamlines their production workflow and allows them to grow at their own pace.”
Formnext 2024 showcase
The new solutions will be presented at Formnext 2024 in Frankfurt. AM Solutions will display its post-processing technology at booth E41 in Hall 11.1, while EOS will introduce the EOS P3 NEXT system at booth D41.
