The facility in Coimbatore will not only deliver to India, but also to major sites across five continents – Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
According to the official announcement, the new site is in line with Alstom’s Sustainability Goals for 2025 – targeting 80% of regular activities to be run on green energy, utilizing 100% of natural light during daytime, rainwater harvesting, reusing 100% of the sewage treated water, etc.
The new €25 million manufacturing facility was inaugurated in the presence of Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India and Alain Spohr, Managing Director, Alstom India & South Asia.
