Alpha HPA Limited has announced key leadership changes set to take effect on 1 February 2025, as the company prepares for its next phase of expansion.
Rob Williamson, currently Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer (COO), will transition into the role of Managing Director (MD), based in Brisbane.
The company’s current MD, Rimas Kairaitis, will take on the position of Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), where he will focus on sales, marketing, and product development.
Kairaitis will also continue to engage with strategic stakeholders as the company advances its high-purity materials portfolio.
The leadership changes come as Alpha HPA progresses with the second stage of its HPA First Project, an initiative aimed at establishing a massive single-site facility for the production of high-purity aluminium materials.
The company has stated that Williamson’s experience in major project startups and asset operations makes him well-suited for the role of Managing Director.
As part of the transition, Alpha HPA has begun searching for a new Chief Operations Officer, with Williamson continuing in the role until a replacement is appointed.
Additionally, Executive Director Peter Nightingale will retire from both the board and his executive position, also effective 1 February.
Chairman Norm Seckold acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing and continuing executives, stating, “We are very pleased to optimise these key roles as we set up for the company’s next exciting growth phase, with Rob and Rimas continuing their highly effective senior executive leadership in building the Alpha business.”
‘I would also like to thank Peter for his extensive knowledge, guidance, and commitment to the growth of Alpha over a period of 15 years.”
The company has described the leadership adjustments as a strategic move to align with its growth trajectory as it expands its operational footprint in Queensland.
