Flour and bakery manufacturer Allied Pinnacle opens Victorian distribution centre

Allied Pinnacle, a flour and bakery manufacturer, has marked the opening of its new Ravenhall Distribution Centre with a ceremonial cherry blossom planting and ribbon cutting. 

The event, which symbolises the company’s partnership with its Japanese parent company, Nisshin Seifun Group, celebrates the completion of the purpose-built Victorian facility, Allied said in a news release. 

According to the company, the Ravenhall Distribution Centre, its largest site in Australia, is positioned to significantly distribute flour and bakery products to Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.

The ceremony was attended by Nisshin Seifun Group board members, Allied Pinnacle executives, and notable dignitaries, including State Member for Kororoit Luba Grigorovitch MP, Melton City Council Mayor Cr Kathy Majdlik, and Consul for the Consulate-General of Japan (VIC) Mr Naoyasu Kawamura.

David Pitt, CEO of Allied Pinnacle, expressed his enthusiasm for the new facility, stating, “The opening of our Ravenhall Distribution Centre marks an exciting chapter for Allied Pinnacle as we continue to expand our food manufacturing capabilities.” 

He continued, “This facility not only strengthens our ability to serve customers across multiple states but also reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality products. We’re proud to contribute to the local economy and look forward to creating more opportunities for growth in the region.”

State Member for Kororoit, Luba Grigorovitch, commended Allied Pinnacle’s investment in the region. 

“Pinnacle making such a significant contribution to the local community. The Ravenhall Distribution Centre will provide valuable jobs and opportunities, helping to boost the region’s economy. I commend Allied Pinnacle for its commitment to innovation and sustainability,” she said.

Scheduled to begin operations on Monday, 18 November, the Ravenhall Distribution Centre will create new jobs across logistics, warehousing, and administration, while supporting local suppliers and service providers. 

The facility boasts modern features, including a test kitchen for customers, corporate offices, and sustainability measures, reflecting Allied Pinnacle’s focus on growth and environmental responsibility.

The site’s design includes a super awning for all-weather loading, a 39-metre hardstand, and a ridge height of 16.8 metres to accommodate vertical expansion.
